To think

I have collected some maxims these last years, in fact they are a lot, but I want you to analyze these ones. You never know, you may learn something new.

*"The cautious seldom err", Confucius.
*"Only a life lived for others is worth living", Einstein.
*"It is the strong swimmer who most often drowns".
*"Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, old time is still aflying, and this same flower, that smiles today, tomorrow will be dying", Robert Herrick
*"He who is firm in will molds the world to himself", Goethe
*"Naught's had, all's spent, where our desire's got without content", Shakespeare.
*"Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about killing than we know about living", General Omar Bradley
*"Courage and perseverance have a magic talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air", John Quincy Adams.
*"Win any way you can as long as you can get away with it", Leo Durocher.
